I am going to start this post off with the most horrific pictures you can imagine. The actions you will see here are directly related to being indoctrinated with rules as described in the last post, Cults of Rules, where complete loss of self-agency is given over to authority.

This is the tragic story of the Mỹ Lai Human Sacrifice ritual enacted by U.S. troops in Vietnam in 1968.
This section is to bring home the horror on the faces of little kids, their mothers, some fathers, and their grandparents knowing they are being lined up to be shot on the spot. Not just by one crazy guy, but a whole platoon of brainwashed U.S. soldiers, many who probably have their own little kids back home. Besides the guy who tried to stop the massacre, these soldiers completely sold-out their self-agency… because of obedience.

Meet Hugh Thompson, The Hero Who Stopped The Mỹ Lai Massacre — And Was Branded A Traitor For It:

On March 16, 1968, a company of U.S. soldiers stormed into the Vietnamese village of Sơn Mỹ and began shooting. By day’s end, FIVE HUNDRED villagers were dead
On the morning of March 16, 1968, the people of Mỹ Lai were making breakfast when soldiers stormed in.
William Calley, the officer in charge of Charlie Company, ordered American soldiers to round up the villagers and open fire. As children ran for safety, soldiers gunned them down.
“I saw them shoot an M79 [grenade launcher] into a group of people who were still alive,” said Sgt. Michael Bernhardt, who was at Mỹ Lai. “But it was mostly done with a machine gun. They were shooting women and children just like anybody else.” The villagers offered no resistance as U.S. soldiers shoved them into a ditch and opened fire with machine guns.
While the massacre took place, helicopter pilot Hugh Thompson and his crew flew over the jungle, offering air support. “It didn’t take very long until we started noticing the large number of bodies everywhere. Everywhere we’d look, we’d see bodies. These were infants, toddlers, women, very old men, no draft-age people whatsoever.”
From the air, Thompson and his crew quickly realized American soldiers were slaughtering innocent civilians.
Thompson landed his helicopter next to a ditch that contained 150 people many dead, but many others wounded and trying to escape. A sergeant stood by the ditch. Thompson ran over and said, “These are civilians, we got to help them out.”
The sergeant waited until Thompson left and then fired on the helpless civilians.
Furious, Hugh Thompson landed again, this time in front of a bunker where civilians were hiding. Nearby, a squad of soldiers approached with weapons drawn.
Thompson and his crew stood in front of the bunker, protecting the civilians. The squad leader ordered Thompson and his men to get out of the way.
Thompson told his crew, “I’m going to go over to the bunker myself and get these people out. If they fire on these people, or fire on me while I’m doing that, shoot ’em!”
Thompson and his crew managed to evacuate the civilians and stop the massacre.
“This is not what I’m here for. This is not how this military organization is supposed to conduct operations. I’ll have no part of this”
Thompson reported the massacre to his commanding officer. Then he assumed the Army initiated an investigation. Instead, the Army hid the slaughter of hundreds of innocent people, including 182 women and 173 children. Among those numbers were 17 pregnant women and 56 infants. A year and a half later a soldier who’d seen reports on the massacre contacted a journalist. Finally, the Army launched an inquiry. They interviewed Hugh Thompson and his crew. And they recommended charging 28 officers for the massacre and coverup.

Calley was the only person found guilty out of the 14 charged. He received a life sentence in 1971 for premeditated murder — which was later reduced to 10 years. Calley was paroled just three years later, in 1974, after Richard Nixon commuted his sentence.
Calley dropped out of college for poor grades, and men in his platoon reported to Army investigators said that Calley lacked common sense and could not read a map or use a compass properly.
👈 Either that’s a story to give him some excuse or Calley is an Intel plant-getting the position to do his evil deed, not whether he has sense or can read a map. Letting Calley off for the most horrific of crimes one could imagine, Pres Nixon and Calley must have been part of the same cult. More shocking to me was the willingness of Calley’s platoon to follow orders to just shoot these innocent folks. That’s the sinister part of obeying rules.
After the trial, Hugh Thompson received death threats.
“I’d receive death threats over the phone,” Thompson said in 2004. “Dead animals on your porch, mutilated animals on your porch some mornings when you get up. So I was not a good guy.”👈The cult obviously went after him.
On the 30th anniversary of the massacre, Hugh Thompson returned to Mỹ Lai.
“One of the ladies that we had helped out that day came up to me and asked, ‘Why didn’t the people who committed these acts come back with you?’” Thompson recalled. “And I was just devastated. And then she finished her sentence: she said, ‘So we could forgive them.’”

The military ideology was clearly based on human sacrifice, not strategy to win a war.

How A Stretch Of Road Between Kuwait And Iraq Became Known As The ‘Highway Of Death’
At the close of the Persian Gulf War, American forces carried out a 10-hour bombardment on Highway 80 that left hundreds dead and destroyed up to 2,700 vehicles.
In the waning days of the Gulf War, thousands of Iraqi soldiers attempted to flee from Kuwait along Highway 80. But U.S.-led coalition forces were waiting — and they turned the route into the so-called “Highway of Death.”
After trapping the Iraqi convoy on the road between Kuwait and Iraq, the coalition forces rained down hell. For 10 hours, they bombed the vehicles below in what one U.S. soldier described as “shooting fish in a barrel.” Hundreds of Iraqis were dead.
Commander Frank Sweigart, a U.S. Navy pilot, told the Washington Post that the Iraqis were “basically just sitting ducks.”
I think we’re past the point of just letting [Saddam Hussein] get in his tanks and drive them back into Iraq and say, ‘I’m sorry,’” U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. George Patrick said between missions. “I feel fairly punitive about it.

Here we can see the will to obey like a robot. Another soldier said:
“There is a side of me that says, ‘What are they dying for? For a madman’s cause? And is that fair?’ Well, we’re at war; it’s the tragedy of war, but we do our jobs.”
Iraq claimed that the troops were trying to comply with orders from the U.N. by peacefully withdrawing from Kuwait. American military spokesmen, however, claimed that the soldiers were retreating from battle, which made them fair targets.

Saddam Hussein was was involved with U.S. intelligence as early as 1959 when he participated in a failed assassination attempt against Iraqi Prime Minister Abd al-Karim Qasim. 👉There are so many stories of meaningless but intentional murders of even millions of people (Cambodia, Japan, Soviet Union, China and on and on). There are also meaningless military conflicts planned where the trap is for both sides to lose large numbers of people. I can neither fit them in a post nor mentally tolerate reading more of them. These ops are a global rotating control of population size and may even be a ritual.

One thing is for sure. By voting, paying taxes, joining the military or government, and even by working for many corporations that seem harmless, most all of society is guilty of aiding and abetting a multigenerational attack on humanity.

I’ll leave you to ponder what Hugh was thinking in this photo in 1998 upon his return to Mỹ Lai. Honestly, tearing up just now looking at him in this semi-fetal position. I can’t take it anymore and forgive me but I have to end this post.

NOTE ON THE VERACITY OF THE EVENTS IN THIS POST
☞While I suppose these events are true, the purport of this post is not to prove they are or are not true or faked, or partially faked. The purpose of this post is to note how persons in an organization will lose their self-agency and follow what they are told.
☞Whether they are told to actually do these atrocities as advertised, or whether they are told to make a show or to be part of a training exercise etc. and did not actually do these atrocities, the point of losing self-agency would still stand.
☞This is because none of the many persons involved came out afterwards, even many decades afterwards, and declare these events did not happen as touted in the media. Sure they could have been hushed-up somehow, though that would have to include all the Vietnamese and Iraqis as well. In the case of fakery, this would be a kind of loss of self-agency by the omission of telling the truth.
I take a history class given by a Vietnam infantry vet. The US military was sending animal bones to American families after the war saying it was the remains of their service member. Coffins were shipped back packed with heroin. My teacher’s own brother in law sat in his fighter jet in the bottom of a body of water for 20 years before the military was finally exposed for knowing what happened to that pilot. The crimes this government commits against the world and its own citizens are so psycho it’s almost impossible to believe. It is a death cult. Great article Proton.
