This is very interesting. Years ago I used to work quite a bit in the pulp and paper mills in Canada. There is a lot of fiberglass piping in the bleach plant areas that handle the corrosive nature of the bleached pulp stock. There is no specific issue from the fibreglass, until you cut it,with the dust and such, but when they have to do maintenance on the fibreglass piping and mix the resin used “weld” the fibreglass, the fumes from the resin combine with the chlorine vapour in the mill and it creates styrene gas. This was explained to me by the chemical engineer on site. The styrene was brutal! I remember distinctly telling coworkers that if your eyes begin to water, look for a door out and get your respirator on because the gas is not far behind. It would literally take your breath away, and if you weren’t prepared would knock you down. Thats how toxic and fast the short term effects were. There’s not many guys left that I worked with back then that haven’t succumbed to cancer or are battling it now. I touch wood every day as I am still around, alive and as well as someone can be these days lol. So when it’s purposely put into pillow and furniture stuffing, there can be only one reason, culling. Now the voc’s are present everywhere in a household, from the carpets to the febreeze spray and laundry pods.
Apologies for the long winded comment, but thought it relevant.
Only bits and bobs of info upon a mediocre searching effort...but I suspect something because LS was competing with British rock and winning the hearts of the Brits even. Ronnie got under Jagger's skin bringing the band out on the "tongue" part of the stage he was told not to when opening for the stones. Ronnie seems to have been a drunk and a "my way or the highway" kind of guy. King quit after a bad drunk night with Ronnie. Both Collins and Rossington were drunk in separate car crashes over the same weekend in '76. The song "That Smell" was about Rossington hitting a tree and totaling his car.
The gas gauge on the plane didn't work properly but there should have been plenty of fuel for their short trip anyway, meaning there was a leak?? Just seems like a typical sabotage of a vehicle the blob is known to do with cars. Pyle was the only one who could walk out of the plane then got shot in the shoulder (maybe) by some guy he goes to ask for help. How can you "maybe" have been shot? The crash is all a nightmare after nightmare affair really. And Pyle had been in at least one other plane crash before (was it in the marines?) and had also been stabbed. He still has a band now playing LS and they are pretty good and has a docu-movie out just now or coming. I saw the trailer.
Was the crash itself a hoax and there were never dead or injured? I don't have any evidence for this, but the behavior of some of the survivors, either real or not was troubling. Ronnie's wife took the new LS to court, Pyle was accused (extorted) and put on probation for raping 2 kids in a trailer park, one account says they were 4 and 8 which makes me think extortion scam, another says 12 and 14. Still, he didn't need to do that to get girlfriends. He says he didn't like cliques in the band so didn't rejoin the new LS. Collins got in car accident killing his GF and maiming himself. I'm sure there is lots more drama to these folks .
Whether or not there was foul play with the plane, the small amount of info available to a little proton like myself so far only leads to imagination.
Artimus says in the video that he is related to Alvin C. York and went to his funeral. Pyle says his father died in a plane crash. I think Pyle approached the house with two other people?
According to Gene Odom and others, the engines were running rich. Gene says that Gene talked to the pilots about the engine problem the morning of the flight.
Gene also said the he discovered that a manager was stealing from the band. I can't remember if he told Van Zant. Or he was about to tell him.
The Paul Welch video is worth watching. It matches with the other accounts of the engine spewing fire on previous flights.
Apparently, Van Zant insisted that everyone take the flight.
My pillows are filled with organic buckwheat hulls. Clean and superior support. Also moldable to customized shapes. The buckwheat hulls are a little noisy at first. I prefer the support to the squishy down pillows.
I have always stuck with down pillows - when I could afford them. I have one polyester pillow only because I am so destitute these days.
But I still have two pillows from decades ago that are down.

Very interesting stuff. I too am very sensitive to many odors, and I must use no-scent detergent for instance. And my bony butt needs to sit comfortably, so I have pillows on all my chairs and other sitting places. My favorite sleeping pillow of all has no smell and is extremely comfortable and supportive, though it is a little more expensive than a Walmart pillow. It is the My Pillow. I wish I had discovered it years before I did.
bought a camping pillow to blow up and it smelled so bad I returned it... even if it only cost 2,99 teuro or so at the cheapo action shop _:) (but they have other better cheap stuff some even made in NL itself!)
i will use the more "survivalist" solution instead...which could this be?
I suggest buying a denim bag and filling it with actual beans. These are what our family had in the 70s and they were comfortable and odor free. They came in wild phosphorescent colors too. 😜
You're probably right. I went to the store and smelled the pillows and assumed they were ok. So far using them almost a year no smell But organic would the best way to go. The down pillows also seem to be a good idea.

Excellent insights Woody, I've pinned your comment!
''The Lynyrd Skynyrd plane crash smelled like the “Music Industrial Complex” had something to do with it. Maybe another post someday.''
Please do.

I heard things you say yes. I'll listen to vids, thanks.

Uugh - it's so hard to buy something new these days. They're always covered in toxic chemicals 😣.

I sleep on a bamboo foam pillow - it’s the best!
Much thanks for all the ideas, I knew I could count on you!
My pleasure, PM.
Very enlightening (not that I have beanbags) but it makes me rethink my bed pillows, cases and clothes.
So little is non-toxic! Thank you.
Nice find, and also a good reminder that we are attacked in every possible way they have thought out. Natural and local is the way to go !
Thanks for your work PM
what do u suggest as natural bed stuffs?
buckwheat hulls / down
