Today’s show, is....drum roll:
X-ray crystallographic characterization of the SARS-CoV-2 main protease polyprotein cleavage sites essential for viral processing and maturation
Translation: “this virology stuff is so complex only us research Gods can understand it”. See this Nature Article from Canada.
They studied protein cleavage sites THEY SAY came from sars-cov-2 and characterized them using the sleek-sounding “x-ray crystallography” that would make James Bond proud. I can hear the hoofbeats of Unicorns in the distance…
The catch is that the word “virus” is just a word out of their mouths, IT IS NOT A VIRUS ITSELF (Dangnabitt! No matter how many times I say “Godzilla” she never shows up). This is the dirty trick, because they are studying the made-up and made-in-a-lab protein toenail of the supposed Unicorn.
This is how they got the protein (See the Methods section):
“The gene-encoding full-length SARS-CoV-2 Mpro (UniProt P0DTD1) was cloned into a modified pET-28a plasmid including an N-terminal dual His-SUMO tag”. What percent of college graduates in the US do you think understand any of this gobbledygook? Even this little proton had to look some stuff up.
They call it a "viral protein" but it’s just a moniker, no virus has been found at any stage in this study or any of the research it is based on.
They printed out one of the hypothetical proteins from a genome that was assembled (ergo, it was pre-written then “found”), on a PC by Fan Wu and friends and was said to relate to a virus which has never actually been found. It was then expressed from an e-coli bacteria subbing as a protein factory (not the virus), then they did the crystallography with the cool photos and terms like “cleavage site” (some subliminal propaganda maybe?).
It’s a lie based on a prior lie based on a prior lie based on a prior lie….but God my baby is beautiful.

My first choice post to read coming to your Subsy. Glad I chose it! I thought I was the only one seeing so many unicorns. And now, two and a half years later, it seems that the unicorns have been procreating *a lot* (or are they simply "proteasing"?)😆
