hey proton - i had to deal with that nonsense for months. even ended up paying a company to clean and protect my site. still no change from google. hired a special google consultant with google credentials to challenge with google. still no change from google. eventually hired a programmer to comb through my site and he found the hidden malware. email me if you want his contact. he was awesome and relatively cheap.
Thanks Mike I'll make a note to ask you. Also, you can see the similarity here of the "asymptomatic site" with a positive test. Is this just to spin more money in the tech world and make you bow down to Google? My solution may not work again but they couldn't argue with their false positive to an empty FTP folder.

if the google test gives 'false positives' (as it's designed to do) seems like the subsequent runaround is akin to placing you/your site on a vent, while on Oxy, in the hopes that your efforts will wither and die...
